7:00-7:05 Welcome, Introductions, Approval of Minutes.
7:05-7:20 Municipal Cash Contributions: Each IO municipality was asked to contribute $900 to the help meet the local cash match requirement for second year activities. Each IO representatives will be asked to report on the financial commitment made by his or her municipality.
7:20-7:45 Tompkins County Sound Science Initiative: Jose Lozano, Tompkins County Water Resources Council and newly appointed Watershed Monitoring Coordinator for Tompkins County, will seek the IOs endorsement of the Tompkins County Sound Science Initiative. The goal of the initiative is to increase effective interaction between local government and academia.
7:45-8:30 Proposed IO By-Laws: As Phase I of the Watershed Management Plan moves toward completion, the IO has expressed a desire to become a more institutionalized organization. One of the first steps in this process will be to adopt a formal set of governing by-laws. The IO will discuss and comment on three sets of proposed by-laws.
8:30-8:40 Draft Preliminary Watershed Characterization: Having had time to review the draft report, the IO will have a final opportunity to ask questions or comment on the draft prior to its finalization.
8:40-8:50 Public Participation Update: The second round of public participation meetings is well underway. An update on the initial observations and feedback will be provided.
8:50-9:00 Set Agenda for the Next IO Meeting.
